What can you do in summer when you're staying at the Bellevue Alpine Lodge?
The truth is, there's so much going on, it's probably easier to answer what you can't do!
Take a look at our 'Activities' pages to find out more about...
Trekking - we suggest a host of great walks around the valley
Rock Climbing - we outline a wide choice of options
Mountaineering - requiring more consideration, but evidently the Chamonix Valley is a great place for it
Paragliding - the views are incredible, the experience unforgettable
Mountain Biking - we suggest four classic trails
Road Biking - Vallorcine is a great base for exploring the local cols in France and Switzerland
Fishing - if you like trout fishing, Vallorcine is the perfect base
Tennis - both Chamonix and Vallorcine have courts to play on
Golf - the 18 hole course is only 15 minutes from the Lodge

Mont Blanc Country Baroque Festival comes to Chamonix
One of the next events coming up this summer is the Mont Blanc Country Baroque Festival, which will take place from 06 to 20 July 2013.
This festival has been designed to pull together music,
architecture and local history and invites holidaymakers to enjoy a
Baroque experience with a modern twist.
The Baroque has lost nothing of its
popular appeal and this 16th edition comprises a musical journey across
Italy with Arcangelo Corelli, detouring into France and Germany,
with Austria and England the final ports of call.
Concerts will be held on July 7 in Servoz, July 16 in Vallorcine, July 17 in Chamonix and July 19 in Les Houches. You can find more information on their website at www.festivalmontblanc.fr

Come to Vallorcine for unbeatable views of the Cascade de Berard
This summer, why not stay with us at the Bellevue Alpine Lodge in Vallocine and rediscover the Cascade de
Bérard and its tumultuous falls from the new footbridge.
This new construction replaces the old
bridge built in 1866 by the people of Vallorcine, using 25 cubic metres of larch brought
down from the Aiguilles Rouges.
An easy 30 min walk takes you from the
Buet hamlet through the Poya hamlet with its typical little stone houses that
once sheltered the goatherds - it's a peaceful and beautiful spot, easily reached from Vallorcine.
The Bellevue Alpine Lodge is a traditional gite style hotel situated in beautiful Vallorcine, in the Chamonix valley. We have five rooms available from €75, with B&B and half-board options.
For more details please call us on +33 (0)4 50 54 60 43 or complete our contact form.

Summertime in Vallorcine at the Bellevue Alpine Lodge
The start of the winter season seems a long time ago now, but we had great snow from early December and a hotel full of family and friends for Christmas – lots of fun on the slopes and in the bar and restaurant!
We have an exciting summer ahead, starting with a group of British journalists coming to stay at The Bellevue in June.
We have organised this trip to promote the summer activities in Vallorcine….and of course our hotel.
We will be inviting them to join us hiking, climbing, canyoning and cycling over 3 days. The evenings will be spent at the Bellevue for drinks and dinner with some of our local friends and colleagues.
The Bellevue will be closed for a spring break from May 8th until June 13th. We are off to England with Zita and Griotte to visit family and friends.
Looking forward to seeing you over the summer.

Not over yet
Guests at The Bellevue are still enjoying great spring conditions.
Snow fell over the weekend, 30cm on the terrace on Saturday morning, and we now have sunny days forecast until Friday.
Mostly, our visitors this week are enjoying spring ski touring although we have a family from Nancy with their dog Amy who are here to relax and take in the mountain views in a more leisurely style. They are planning to do The Aiguille du Midi, The Montenvers railway and other attractions, whilst sampling some local dishes and wines.
Bellevue Alpine Lodge is open until 8th May, so there is still time to spend a few days in the mountains before the end of the winter season.

Spring is here
Guests at The Bellevue are enjoying great spring conditions this week.
Our Dutch family are off to Courmayeur today, just an hour away through the Mont Blanc tunnel...great pasta for lunch and proper Italian coffee... I wish I was going too!
Later in the week they have hired a guide for a day Off Piste and a day on the Vallée Blanche.
Our English guests, arriving on Thursday are sure to have great conditions - the snow is fabulous for the time of year and the forecast is for some great spring sunshine.
We still have lifts open in the Chamonix and Vallorcine area until 12th May, so there is plenty of time left to get a few days skiing.
